GOLD'S GYM TO OPEN IN FORMER FOOD LION SPACE AT FAIRFAX STATION SQUARE
“Fairfax offers tremendous opportunities for growth for Gold’s Gym as, currently, only a single Gold’s facility serves Fairfax area residents,” said JBGR Senior Leasing Director John Mitchell. “Fairfax Station Square proved to be an ideal site for the company’s newest facility because of the size of the existing building and its central location. It’s likely this location will pull members from the immediate community, as well as business people on the way to and from work. We are confident that Gold’s will find success here.” At 37,000 square feet, the new Fairfax Station facility will be one of the largest in the metropolitan area. The corporately owned and operated gym will be full-service, featuring the latest strength training and cardio equipment, as well as group exercise classes, Pilates and yoga, the company’s signature “Lady Gold’s” exercise room and “Kid’s Club” childcare, certified personal trainers, plus other services. Gold’s Gym International currently operates over 620 locations in 42 states and 26 countries. Located at the intersection of Ox Road and Burke Centre Parkway in Fairfax Station, Fairfax Station Square Shopping Center is a 93,000 square-foot center owned by AJ Dwoskin & Associates of Fairfax. The center, which was anchored by Food Lion until it closed earlier this year, was built in 1985 and also is home to Advance Auto Parts, the United States Postal Service, Pizza Hut, 7-Eleven, and the Hair Cuttery, among others.
