JBG ROSENFELD LANDS THREE NEW LISTINGS IN VIRGINIA'S LOUDOUN AND PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTIES RETAIL NEWS
CHEVY CHASE, MARYLAND – Shopping center leasing, management, and development company JBG Rosenfeld Retail (JBGR) recently was tapped to handle the leasing for three new properties in Virginia, adding more than 267,000 square feet of retail space under its purview. Two of the properties, dubbed Morley Corner and Oaklawn, are new, mixed-use developments in Loudoun County developed by Keane Enterprises of Ashburn. The third, Madison Farm, is located in eastern Prince William County, across from the 420,000 square-foot Caton’s Ridge office project. Madison Farm is a development of Stanford Properties of Bethesda. “We are very pleased to have been selected as the leasing representative for these new developments,” said JBGR Executive Vice President Bob Schwenger. “Our strong retailer and broker contacts, as well as our success in leasing other properties for both of these developers, have resulted in repeat business for our leasing team, and we stand confident in our abilities to secure tenants that will add value to the properties and communities in which they are located.” JBGR actively is leasing other properties for both Keane Enterprises and Stanford Properties, including the Ashburn Crossroads Restaurant Park and Urbana Village Center, respectively. Located at the intersection of Ashburn Village Boulevard and Waxpool Road in the heart of Ashburn in eastern Loudoun County’s commercial district, Morley Corner is a 32-acre, mixed-use development to feature nearly 120,000 square feet of retail space topped with second-story office units, including restaurants, and approximately 150 residential townhomes. The development plans for Oaklawn in Leesburg also incorporate significant office and residential components, as well as a 150-room hotel and 130,000 square-feet of retail. When complete, the 156-acre Oaklawn project will have direct access to the Dulles Greenway (VA Route 267). Development on the retail components of both Morley Corner and Oaklawn are scheduled to begin this summer, with initial delivery in spring of 2008. Just minutes from Potomac Mills Mall and an impressive lineup of national retailers, Madison Farm is a 17,000 retail development located at the intersection of Minnieville and Caton Hill Roads in Woodbridge. JBGR already has finalized three leases for the property totaling 5,100 square feet, including an 1,800 square-foot Starbucks to open in mid-2008. Based in Chevy Chase, Maryland, JBG Rosenfeld Retail specializes in the leasing, development, acquisition, construction, and management of retail properties throughout the mid-Atlantic region. Currently, JBGR holds more than 30 shopping centers, nine freestanding store sites, and numerous mixed-use retail sites in its portfolio.
